BCISD Trustees take preliminary look at 2022 budget

A preliminary look at the budget for the 2021-2022 school year didn’t paint a very rosy picture for Bay City ISD as the board of trustees looked at the numbers Tuesday night during a budget workshop.

In presenting the numbers to the board, Bay City ISD’s Chief Financial Officer Richard Johnson said the district could be looking at deficit of $3.9 million and it could be more if district decides to give some sort of pay raise to its employees this year.
