New development takes aim at area housing shortage

Housing has been at the top of the list of needs in Matagorda County.

A developer addressed a meeting of the TIRZ 2 Board at Bay City City Hall Thursday with a proposal that could get the ball rolling toward adding more rooftops to the area.
