Cats open new stadium in style with win

Bay City quarterback Avery Smith takes off on a run against Edna last Friday night. Smith rushed for 232 yards in the victory.

It was a successful home debut for the Bay City Blackcats as they opened the new Bay City Memorial Stadium last Friday night with a 41-11 victory over Edna.

Building off an opening victory over Sweeny the previous week, the Blackcats rolled up 496 yards of offense against the Cowboys to pick up the first win ever at the new stadium.
