Robert A. Matthews announced his candidacy for Justice of the Peace, Pct. 1 in the March 2 democratic primary.

He is a lifelong resident of precinct 1 and a graduate of Van Vleck High School. Matthews earned a Masters degree from Sam Houston University and served the community for 30 years with Bay City ISD.

His experience includes 25 months as interim Justice of the Peace, Pct. 1 after being appointed by commissioner's court.

If elected, he will serve as your full-time Justice of the Peace.
