Palacios continues to struggle in district play, losing its 19th straight district game in a 48-7 defeat to Yoakum at home on Friday. 

Yoakum, ranked No. 9 in Class 3A, dominated the first half of the game, scoring all of its points in the second quarter.

The Bulldogs struck first by an interception returned for a touchdown, followed by another pick-six to go up 13-0. 

Receiver Jordan Moore caught three touchdowns from 17, 18 and 18 yards. He had five receptions for 107 yards. The Texas A&M commit also had two interceptions, including one returned for a 60-yard touchdown.

The Sharks finally broke through for a score in the fourth quarter to avoid the shutout.

Palacios falls to 1-5 overall and 1-4 in District 14-3A, Division I. The Sharks have a bye week next week and will return to the field on Nov. 3 against rival Van Vleck.
