Searching Bay City Tribune Web Edition

Bay City Tribune offers simple keyword searching of the most recent 30 days of stories. A more extensive archive is in development. Bay City Tribune does not offer personal research services. Our web edition does not contain the full content of Bay City Tribune print edition, nor do we offer personal research services.

Basic Search

Enter one or more terms (see form above) and start your search. The form is not case-sensitive. By default, stories that contain all of your search terms will be returned. Refining your search is as easy as adding more words to the query.

Advanced Search

For greater control over the search, enter search terms in the appropriate fields on the advanced search page. Use any combination of query fields on this form to find the stories you need. For example:

  • To search for stories containing both "beach" and "bird" in the text, enter "beach bird" in the "All the words" field.

  • To find all stories containing "Spirit" or "Opportunity" in the text, enter "spirit opportunity" in the "Any of the words" field.

  • Use the "Exact phrase" field to search for an exact phrase such as "Mardi gras" in the text.

  • To narrow your results by excluding stories that match a specific word, use the "Without the words" field. For example, to find stories that contain "beach" and "bird" but not "party", enter "beach bird" in the "All the words" field, and enter "party" in the "Without the words" field.
