Charter committee members say decision is not political

Looking to do what they see as being best for the city, the members of the Bay City Charter Review Committee voted unanimously Wednesday night to recommend to the city council it put the city manager form of government to the voters in the upcoming May Municipal Election.

Throughout their discussion, members of the committee emphasized their decision was based on the needs of the city and not a political decision.
