BCPD nabs two for occupying vacant home


Bay City Police arrested two women after they were located inside a vacant home without the homeowner’s permission.

According to police reports, on Sunday, Nov. 11 at 2:34 p.m., Bay City officer Aurelia Mendez was dispatched to the 2900 block of Avenue H in reference to two females in a vacant home. A neighbor alerted police that nobody was supposed to be in the house and gave a description of the suspects inside the home.

Mendez located one female attempted to exit the back of the residence as she arrived on the scene. After the female suspect was detained, she notified officers that another female was located inside the residence.

Bay City Police officers were able to locate the second female and she was detained. One of the females informed police she had permission to be the home.

Mendez made contact with the homeowner, who was out of town. The homeowner stated to police that no one had permission to be at the residence and was willing to file charges against the two suspects.

Bay City Police arrested and charged Larrime S. Garcia, 30 and Jennifer O. Brannan, 34, both of Bay City, with criminal trespass and transported them to the Matagorda County Jail.
