One dies in Sunday accident on Hwy. 60

 

Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers investigated Sunday a two-vehicle fatality collision in Wharton County that occurred south of Wharton on State Highway 60.

The preliminary information indicates at approximately 3:15 p.m., a southbound 1998 Toyota passenger vehicle was traveling in the outside lane, when it conducted a wide U-turn, and was struck on the driver side by a southbound 2004 Ford SUV traveling in the inside lane.  

Bob Snow, 67, of Cypress, was identified as the driver of the Toyota. He was transported by Life Flight medical helicopter to Memorial Herman Downtown where he was pronounced deceased by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office. The passenger identified as Matthew Snow, 20, of Cypress, also suffered injuries, but they were not life threatening.

The driver of the Ford identified as Deborah Felder, 63, of Boling, was transported by Wharton EMS to Oak Bend Hospital for her injuries.

This crash remains under investigation and further details are not available at this time.
