“Our seniors put together the line-up and it worked well for us,” said Bay City Head Swim Coach Bob Button. “With only six boys and six girls, we were spread pretty thin. The girls were able to sweep all three relays and the boys managed to take two of the three. Both Terry and Lamar had some quality boys who made it tough for us to break through with event wins.”

The Bay City girls swim team captured fifth place while the boys’ squad took home ninth at the Coastal Bend Swimming meet held Jan. 4-5. In the combined team standings, Bay City finished sixth with 237 total points.

“This was an important meet for our kids, as it pretty much mirrors the way our region meet will be run,” said Bay City Swim Coach Bob Button. “Divers needed to perform an eleven-dive list and swimmers had to qualify for Saturday’s finals. Our kids swam season-bests across the board, both individually and on relays.”
