Scardami files for BCISD School Board Trustee Pos. 2
Edward Jones Financial Advisor, James Scardami announced his candidacy for The Bay City ISD School board recently. James (38) and his wife, Lesley, and kids Emily (7) and Conner (7) moved to Bay City 2 years ago from New Braunfels where he lived for 16 years and served as a financial advisor with Edward Jones. Before that he served as a Municipal Superintendent and before that received an honorable discharge from the United States Marine Corps.
James is actively involved in his church where he is a member of The First United Methodist Church and serves on the board for The Sunshine and Rainbows preschool. He is also very active in the community serving as President of The Bay City Rotary Club, Director of The Bay City Chamber of Commerce, Board Member for the Bay City Country Club, and volunteers countless hours at many community events.
James has a passion for helping people and last year started a Marine Corps Toys for Tots program which in its first year gave toys, books, and stocking stuffers to over a thousand children in Matagorda County. When asked why he is running for the school board he replied, “I have a vested interest in this District. I want to make sure my kids get the very best education they deserve and I believe The Bay City ISD is that place. I ask for and appreciate your vote in the upcoming May election.”
