The Linnie Roberts Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) recently held a garage sale in the cafeteria of the school to raise funds for their upcoming Winter Carnival scheduled for Dec. 17. Linnie Roberts PTO raises funds for kids


In an effort to promote parent involvement on campus, the newly formed Linnie Roberts Parent Teacher Organization started at the beginning of this year, incorporating fun events for students while raising funds for various projects.

The organization started off with Donuts with Dad, the first event of the year, attracting over 300 people.

Over the course of the first semester of school, the PTO has held several successful fundraisers including t-shirt sales, homecoming mini mum sales, Pizza Fridays and most recently a Thanksgiving bake sale with garage sale.

The funds raised will help PTO host the first ever Winter Carnival for the school’s 483 students. 

The students will be able to enjoy games, make crafts, take photos with Santa and much more at the festival on Dec. 17. 

“We are excited to be able to give back to our students and teachers, and are looking forward to many more successful events in the future,” said PTO President Lynsey Curtner.
