Palacios remains one game back


Palacios remained one game behind Boling as the Sharkettes got back into the win column Friday, Jan. 4 with a 63-17 dismantling of Danbury.

Palacios now moves to 4-1 in District 24-3A action while Boling remains undefeated at 4-0 in district play. 

Tidehaven fell to 1-3 in district action after dropping a 45-33 decision to Hitchcock Friday, Jan. 4. 

Van Vleck fell to 1-4 after dropping a 47-24 decision to East Bernard Friday, Jan. 4.

East Bernard jumped out to a 14-4 lead in the first quarter and then pushed that lead out to 27-13 lead at the halftime break. In the third quarter, the Brahmettes continued to pad their lead by outscoring Van Vleck 11-6 to assume a 38-19 lead heading into the fourth quarter.

Van Vleck was led by junior JaToya Cubit with 16 points while Taija Fields added eight points for the Lady Leps.
